This post is published in response to the Forbes article Google Just Patented the End of Your Website.
On paper, the new Google patent sounds great. The idea is simple enough. Instead of sending people to your existing landing page, Google can generate a custom page on the fly, tailored to a specific searcher, using your content plus its own AI magic.
In practice, that means Google is now comfortable putting an AI‑generated version of your site between you and your customers. It scores your landing page, decides whether it likes it, and if it doesn’t, it builds something “better” and shows that instead.
You still get the logo and the brand name. You just might not get the layout, the offer framing, or the conversion journey you designed.
Your website isn’t dead, but the bar for “good enough” just went way up.
What Google is actually doing
The patent is titled “AI‑generated content page tailored to a specific user.” Behind the scenes, the flow looks roughly like this:
- Someone searches for a product or service like yours.
- Google identifies your organization as a strong match in the results.
- It calculates a landing page score for the page it would normally send that person to.
- If the system thinks it can do better, it spins up a custom AI‑generated page using your content, data and a pile of behavioral signals.
- The searcher lands on that new page instead of your original.
The stated goal is to improve “performance metrics” for content providers, including conversions and conversion rate. Sounds great, but remember whose definition of “performance” we’re using here.
What this means for your site
There are two uncomfortable truths in this setup:
First, your website is now an input, not an endpoint.
Google’s AI will treat your pages as raw material to be scored, sliced and remixed.
Second, a weak or messy site gives the system permission to ignore a lot of your hard work.
If your pages are slow, vague or structurally confusing, you are essentially telling the algorithm, “Sure, go ahead and rebuild this for me.”
Not great.
At HUSTLE Technology, our job is to make sure that whatever Google builds on top of your brand still works for your business.
How we future‑proof your site for AI search
We are a small team that lives and breathes technical SEO, WordPress, Shopify, and conversion‑focused design. We already spend our days fixing the stuff this patent cares about. Now we’re just doing it with a slightly more chaotic audience in mind.
Here’s how we help your site survive and thrive in this new world:
- We turn your site into structured data, not just pretty pages
We implement schema, product and service metadata, FAQs and clear content hierarchies so Google’s systems have reliable, on‑brand information to work with. If the AI insists on remixing you, at least it’s remixing the right story. - We optimize the signals that feed Google’s landing page score
Performance, Core Web Vitals, mobile experience, clarity of the primary action, all of that gets tuned so your real landing pages are hard to beat. The better your baseline, the less reason the system has to “fix” you. - We design journeys that are AI‑aware, not AI‑dependent
We make sure key actions like booking, buying, and contacting you are obvious in both your UI and your underlying markup. That way, any AI‑generated page built from your content still points people toward the right next step. - We protect your positioning and voice
Clean headings, sharp copy, and focused value propositions travel better when they get chopped up by search features, AI overviews, or custom pages. We help you say what you do in a way that survives the blender. - We measure more than “sessions from Google”
When search turns into a choose‑your‑own‑adventure of AI surfaces, traffic reports get weird. We help you focus on leads, sales, and assisted conversions across channels so you’re not flying blind while Google hoards more of the clickstream.
What you should do next
You don’t need a panic redesign. You need an honest audit.
If you’re not sure how your site will hold up in a world where Google is willing to overwrite your landing page, we can help.
We’ll look at:
- How clearly your pages explain who you are, what you offer, and who you serve
- How fast and usable your key templates are across devices
- How well your site is marked up for machines, not just humans
- Where your funnels leak and what happens after someone finds you through search.
From there, we’ll give you a practical roadmap to make your site AI‑ready without burning everything down.
If Google is going to stand between you and your visitors, the least we can do is make sure it is standing on a foundation you actually trust.
